लंदन. जमैका के विश्व रिकॉर्ड धारी यूसैन बोल्ट ने लंदन ओलिंपिक में शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए 100 मीटर फर्राटा दौड़ का गोल्‍ड मेडल एक बार फिर अपने नाम कर लिया है। बोल्‍ट ने रिकॉर्ड 9.63 सेकंड में यह दूरी तय की। बोल्‍ट लगातार दूसरी बार ओलिंपिक में फर्राटा चैंपियन बने हैं।

बोल्‍ट ने 2008 बीजिंग ओलिंपिक में 100 मीटर की दौड़ 9.69 सेकंड में पूरी कर गोल्‍ड मेडल जीता था। हालांकि उनका वर्ल्‍ड रिकार्ड 9.58 सेकंड का है। बोल्ट के हमवतन योहान ब्लैक रजत पदक हासिल कर पाए। उन्होंने 9.75 सेकंड का समय लिया जबकि अमेरिका के जस्टिन गैटलिन को तीसरे स्थान से संतोष करना पड़ा। गैटलिन 9.79 सेकंड का समय निकाल पाए।

Dressed in traditional Indian sari, complete with glass bangles and mehndi on her hands, Berry looks every inch an Indian bride. 

The epic drama is  based on a 2004 novel by the same name, written by British author David Mitchell. 

The novel consists of six stories that take the reader from remote South Pacific in the nineteenth century to a distant, post-apocalyptic future.   

The film, written and directed by The Matrix creators Lana and Andy Wachowski, also stars Susan Sarandon and Hugh Grant, and is scheduled for an October 26 release. 

The film contains stories set in a different time and place, and it is being speculated that Berry plays an Indian character in one. 

In the recent past, celebrities like  Oprah Winfrey, Paris Hilton and Lady Gaga have been seen flaunting a sari, inspiring French luxury label Hermes to launch an entire range of sari. 

 “It’s great that international stars have taken to sporting a sari. It’s not just a promotion of our dress but also makes these stars a big talking point,” says filmmaker Anil Sharma.

Goa MLA demands ban on screening of Kya Super Kool Hai Hum

 Congress legislator today demanded ban on the screening of recently released movie ‘Kya Super Kool Hai Hum’ for allegedly showing a Catholic priest in poor light. 
Legislator Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco raised this issue during the ongoing state Assembly session, stating that the character of a priest, played by actor Chunky Pandey, was shown in poor light and demanded intervention of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to ban the screening of the movie.

Responding to the issue, Parrikar said, “It is not within the jurisdiction of the state government to ban the screening of the movie. I have not seen the movie, so I can’t say anything.”

He said it is the duty of the Censor Board to cut the scenes or not issue a certificate, if it has such content.

“But I will follow up the issue with the Union government, if you submit me the written request,” Parrikar told Lourenco.

One look at the film, and you'll get to know that the silhouette of the woman is not of Leone. Says Pooja Bhatt who we contacted to verify our doubt, "A year ago, when it was being speculated that the film will feature eitherBipasha Basu or Mallika Sherawat, I decided to whet people's appetite with a sexy poster. I called my friend, photographer Joy Datta, who deals with dusky Brazilian models, for options. I chose Nathalia from amongst the ones he showed me."


The poster was shot at Pooja's farmhouse during the monsoon, much before Leone was even signed up. Later, Leone was shown the poster of Nathalia, seeing which she decided to sign the film.
